MIFNQ is the auspice body for the Mackay Regional Mental Health Network.
The Mackay Regional Mental Health Network is an integrated network working together to provide community focused mental health systems and services and preventative activities that are person centered and recovery focused to the communities of Mackay and the surrounding regions.
This has been achieved by various community organisations, government departments and individuals collaborating to advocate, exchange program information, host regular specialised guest speakers and raise public awareness of mental health and mental illness during events such as mental health week.
A major achievement of the Mackay Regional Mental Health Network is the involvement of gaining Headspace to our region by supporting the application for this clinical service to be accessible for the youth of Mackay.
The Mackay Regional Mental Health Network is an integral part of the mental health community within our region as it allows different community organisations to collaborate, advocate, identify gaps and work together to build a strong mental health network.
