Blended Mental Health First Aid Courses
Two blended Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses are available for Workplaces and for Tertiary Students, both of which are designed to enable participants flexibility.
Both courses, the Blended Mental Health First Aid Course for the White-Collar Workplace and the Blended Mental Health First Aid Course for Tertiary Students are a combination of online (eLearning) and 3.5-hours of follow-on face-to-face training.
Course participants first complete the interactive self-paced eLearning component that presents an overview of mental health problems and mental health crises. The cost of the eLearning component is $150 which includes the MHFA Manual. This new option is available directly through MHFA Australia Inc. (www.mhfa.com.au).
The follow-on face-to-face training allows participants the opportunity to revise and consolidate skills in a group environment and to address mental health problems in the workplace or tertiary institution in more depth.
The three and half hour face to face component finishes the course and enables participants to sit the on-line exam to gain accreditation.
The face to face component is available through MIFNQ upon request as a fee for service.
Accredited Mental Health First Aiders are eligible to be appointed as Mental Health First Aid Officers in the workplace.
